My week #24

New print and new sideboard / arranging a sewing corner in the spare room - with the old sideboard hosting my fabrics and some space on the desk for one of my favourite things: my postcard holder / another page turner from Rachel Joyce (I loved The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry too) / spying on next door's neighbours and pets / receiving my new Helen Dardik prints (I'll show you soon!) - I want to keep the envelope! / preparing my next Happy Mail / Father's Day

It's been a relatively quiet week and I have enjoyed pottering around the house while Y was having a nap, sewing and cross stitching, arranging and rearranging things.. We've been in our new home for a bit more than 2 months and I am pleased to say it is starting to take shape!

Hope you all have a lovely week!

Work in progress

The end of term is approaching fast. And end of term rhymes with teachers presents..
For the last 2 years, I've been making pocket quilts for M's teachers. This year I'm teaming up with my sewing buddy and we're making a patchwork cushion made up of all the childrens faces, drawn by them. I think it'll look cute!

I have also been commissioned to make a pocket quilt for one of Y's teachers who is leaving the school.. So after about 4 months of neglect, I finally got my sewing machine out and got sewing. And I am rather enjoying making again!

My week #23

Going on a London underground treasure hunt - our list of challenges included taking a photo of a Kate Middleton look-a-like, of a bald man with a beard shaking hands with a clean shaven man with a mop of curly hair and to bring back the business card of a man called Miles, Giles, Guy, Rupert, Crispin or Tarquin (we failed this one), it was so much fun!! My team won and we all took home a heap of London paraphernalia - including my new keyring and mug.. / Sensational butterflies at the Natural History Museum with my little Y / a week end in Brighton with my little M.. reading books on the train, the aquarium, the Pier, chips on the beach, walking around The Lanes, The Pavilion (that place is amazing!) and braving the waves again and again..

I love summer, I love going on adventures, I love being out and about!

Hope you all have a great week!

My week #22

Playing I spy at the top of the Shard / quiet time at home / a busy week end in West Sussex.. Arundel castle, the beach, a trip to the farm, a walk in the woods, and a postcard telling our friends all about it..
It's been both a quiet and a busy half term, just as we like it!
